The Top Novices' Hurdle

The Top Novices' Hurdle is a Grade 2 hurdles race run during the course of the annual Aintree Festival. The race is run over a distance of 2 miles 110 yards and features 9 hurdles. Entry to the Top Novices' Hurdle is restricted to 4-year-old and above hurdlers.

The Top Novices' Hurdle is regarded as the sequel to the Cheltenham Festival's Supreme Novices' Hurdle. It is rare for horses to win both races, and the last racehorse to win both events did so in 1984.
